The first titles available for download will be the Gundemonium Collection, a trilogy of arcade-style scrolling shoot-’em-up games, set in a steampunk world of alchemy and demonic invasion. The collection includes three full games: Gundemonium Recollection, GundeadliGne, and Hitogata Happa.
The Steam release of these games will include exclusive new features. First, optional remixed and enhanced in-game soundtracks by DM Ashura (of Dance Dance Revolution fame) and talented up-and-coming artist, Woofle, are now included. The new soundtracks have the enthusiastic approval of the series’s creator, Murasame. Second, Rockin’ Android has upgraded GundeadliGne to include online cooperative play support through Steam, as previous versions only supported local play. Third, Steam achievements will be included with all three games. The Gundemonium Collection will be available for download on Steam on September 27, 2011 for $9.99 USD. It will also be possible to purchase the games individually for $3.99 USD each. More games from Rockin’ Android will be available on Steam at later dates.
“When it comes to PC-gaming, Steam is unmatched in its convenience and selection,” said Adam Milecki, Editor/Media Relations for Rockin’ Android. “Rockin’ Android has an array of great independent PC games from Japan, and Steam is the perfect home for our games. Our fans and customers have also made it clear that they want our games on Steam, so it was important for us to make that so. We’re excited to provide these games to an even wider audience, and we’re proud to be a part of Steam’s ever-broadening variety of games.”
